Starting Stats: Strength, Endurance & Dexterity

What are Starting Stats?

If you've ever played an RPG (Role Playing Game) like Dungeons & Dragons, Final Fantasy or World of Warcraft, you are probably familiar with the concept of "stats" for a character. These are quantifiable skill scores that calculate how successful you'll be at climbing a tree, casting a spell or crafting an item in the game. In real life, it can be a bit more difficult to pin down exact numbers for our stats, but we can at least be aware of our strengths and weaknesses. It pays to "know thyself" in fitness as much as any other endeavor you make; understanding where you stand can inform where you're starting from and what you want to accomplish.

So what do Strength, Dexterity and Endurance mean to me?

Since it is unlikely you'll need to hack through a goblin horde or summon a phantasmal companion, let's assume your stats will affect more mundane (though still important!) aspects of your life both in and out of the gym. One thing I will say for sure is that these stats 
1. Are closely related, each affects the others
2. Are the easiest stats to improve (compared to say, your charisma or potion-making)

I will write in detail about STR, DEX and END later. But for a quick definition of these stats we have-
Strength is your ability to generate and exert force, either explosively or or extended "sets" of time.
Dexterity is how well you can move through varieties of range and speed.
Endurance is your performance limit, like a car's MPG and gas tank all in one.
