How does Remote Coaching work?

Remote coaching has three main pillars-
​

1. TrainHeroic app: this is how I'll deliver individualized workouts directly to your phone. Just download the app for free and input the invite code I send you upon sign up. Take the guess work out of what to do, how to do it and how many reps or how time to spend on it!

2. Personal Communication: I do weekly phone or video calls with clients every week or month, depending on the plan, to check in and stay connected. We talk about your progress and plan so you always know what's coming up next. This is also when we can really dial in what's working for you and what we can change as you progress. All the attention of in-person training, with none of the gym stank or crowds!

3. Nutritional Tracking: Whether you're peeling off pounds or cultivating mass, what you eat is the key to success. Tailor-made recommendations for your total daily calories, protein, carbs and fats is part of  Remote Coaching and is something we'll continue to monitor during our check-ins. I am not a Registered Dietitian, and so cannot prescribe you meal plans. What I can do for you is guide you to the methods and skills you need to make the changes you seek, and help keep you accountable along the way!


How much does a plan cost, and what do I get?

There are now four Training Tiers that are available:

  1. Low Path, $30/month - You have access to the Train Heroic calendar for a Path Team (see below for descriptions) of your choosing, as well as the D20 Athletics Discord. This is perfect for the "just tell me what to do!" crowd who are looking for community and a plan.
  2. High Path, $50/month - Pathway workouts, Discord invite and a monthly 1 on 1 call with Coach Rob to talk about your goals, when to stay the course and coaching on what and when to change and HOW to make those important changes.
  3. Solo Adventure plan, $150/month- Monthly workout plan designed around your specific goal, schedule and availability. Comes with Discord access and a monthly video chat so I can build the best possible plan for you.
  4. Full Adventure plan, $200/month - Unique and personalized workouts, Discord invite, weekly coaching calls with the addition of specific, personalized macro/calorie plans and coaching. See the description below for more details. 

Path Teams- Join one of the three Paths, each one has a unique focus and is built to progress toward different fitness goals. You'll get the team workout delivered to your app every week and social support with access to your team's private Discord server.

  • Path of the Barbarian- Solving the Riddle of Steel involves moving a lot of heavy metal. Barbells, other free weights and longer workouts (45 to 60+ minutes) lead to great muscular development and greater strength. 
  • Path of the Warrior- The warrior must be versatile and ready for anything. You will cross train with creative, challenging circuits for 45-60 minutes as you carve a leaner, stronger, and more resilient you.
  • Path of the Monk- You train to make your body into a weapon. Your workouts are shorter (30-45 minutes) with a heavy focus on kettlebells and calisthenics. This is the minimalist program with surprising fat-loss and performance results thanks to body-changing strength and conditioning work.

The Paths are an excellent option for the adventurer who wants to step beyond the detailed accountability of 1 on 1 training. You can change the path you are on at any time, but it is highly recommended you stay with one team for at least 2 or 3 months before hopping programs.
